The article says he might not be gay since elephants don’t reach sexual maturity until age 14, but if this works anything like it does in people, the elephant probably already knows what he’s looking for!
I know it’s fairly common in animals, but the only other time I’ve seen homosexuality in animals this widely discussed was in the case of the gay penguins in China. I have to admit that story is way more entertaining though, given that 1. it involves penguins, which we all know I love and 2. these penguins tried to steal eggs from other couples so they could have babies! It’s precious.
