Spring Cleaning

I started a MASSIVE spring cleaning project yesterday. So far I have gone through my bookcase, my entertainment center and one of my closets (allllll my clothes have been sorted and I have like 3 piles of stuff to sell and/or donate). Tonight I’m going to go through the other closet, my desk, and my filing cabinet. I might also re-organize and thin out all my binders. Then the last task will be to shred the insane pile of stuff I have waiting to be shredded. I dred this though, given my most recent encounter with my shredder – I dropped it on my foot and damn near broke it (my foot that is). 2 days of crutches = not my idea of a good time. 

Whatever. At least all my shit is getting organized and filtered. It feels soooooo good!!! :)

New Toy

I just received a totally AWESOME gift this weekend….the purple iPod Nano!!! I already have so many songs and CDs on my iTunes, but now I am compulsively uploading all my other CDs so my new iPod can have a complete music compilation. It’s taking forever but I don’t care. Plus I’m sure I’ll appreciate my efforts later this summer when I’m on one of my many plane rides. This totally rocks!! :)

Top Chef Quest

I’ve decided to go on a quest. It will take a long time, but I plan to visit the restaurants of all of my favorite chefs from Top Chef. On the “to do” list so far:

You can’t start with any particular contestant without first mentioning Chef Tom Colicchio. He’s amazing and has every right to critique the chefs on the show. My life will not be complete until I eat at Craft. NY, LA, Dallas, Vegas, Connecticut…so many choices, clearly I have NO excuse to not go!

The Big Unit

The Big Unit, aka Randy Johnson.

I absolutely love this guy. He’s 6’10 and incredibly lanky – super awkward to say the least. Yet he’s 45 years old and just 2 wins away from 300 Major League wins. Now that is talent. It was really sad to see him taken out of the game tonight against the Marlins (his former team) and go on to earn the loss. Hopefully things get better for this guy. I am definitely all about seeing history be made!

If nothing else, he’ll always be my hero for defying the laws of nature and exploding a bird with a fastball. Seriously, what are the chances?

Will Ferrell Returns to SNL!

I was definitely looking forward to last night’s SNL, simply because I really love Will Ferrell. As a season finale following the awesomeness that was Justin Timerblake hosting, I definitely had high hopes. I must admit I’m only a couple of sketches in, but I’m kind of disappointed so far. He definitely should get credit for the amazing GW performance, but the sketch itself wasn’t terribly funny. I’m gonna give it 2 more sketches before I just delete it. Jeopardy was histerical, so I need another fun sketch to make me laugh. Let’s see what happens!

The Office!

Tonight is the season finale of the greatest show currently on television: The Office. Will Pam and Jim get married? I don’t think so. Will there be any surprise appearances? Who knows. I’m secretly hoping they bring Holly back. Michael deserves someone like that. Honestly, I can’t speculate any more than that. I don’t want to ruin it for myself.

Sporting Equipment

I’m very particular about my sports bras. I require total support, which means absolutely no movement. I just don’t see how you can play sports or run or do anything else athletic in any other way. So needless to say, when I find a sports bra I like, I buy in mass quantities.

I already love Victoria’s Secret‘s bras. I found a sports bra in their Pink collection a while back, and bought one to try it out. LOVE it. I went back to buy more and they had straight up discontinued it. I was heartbroken. They have recently come out with a new type, called the VSX Sports Bra. It’s fantastic. I bought one to try it out, and now I want like 100. Well maybe that’s excessive, but still.

So I went online to buy 3 last night, and encountered 2 problems. Problem 1. The website says they come in 4 colors. Well it turns out 2 of these colors are discontinued. Ok whatever, I’ll stick to black and white. Problem 2. They are backordered for 2 months!! So I’m supposed to wait 2 months for these fantastic contraptions. After all that, they still wanted to charge me shipping! I mean come on, work with me here. If I’m waiting that long for your product, the least you can do is throw in some kind of a discount. Seeing that they wouldn’t give me anything I gave up and ended up ordering nothing. Super lame :(

Nissan launched a new car…the Cube. I’m not even going to sugarcoat it kids, WTF is this thing? It’s like a toy car, or worse yet, a SmartCar gone wrong. Maybe I’m in the minority, but what’s wrong with the way cars used to look?

I <3 JT!

Justin Timberlake is my personal hero. He’s hilarious, he can sing, he can dance, and he’s not too bad to look at either ;) . Actually he’s on my list of 5 celebrities.
