Ok so those super cute shoes I bought on Tuesday. The ones that were a half size too small but didn’t feel that tight. Yeah those. Those are going to be sold or given away.
I made the mistake of wearing these babies yesterday. It’s usually never fun breaking in a new pair of shoes, but add a busy day to that equation and you’re in for a mess. I worked 12 hours yesterday – recipe for a disaster. About 3 hours into my day, my feet were killing me. I could feel blisters forming. My feet were CRAMMED. Not just a tad, as I originally thought. We’re talking like my feet felt like an elephant crammed into a Geo Metro. I slapped on a bunch of bandaids and tried to minimize my walking.
Too bad I worked all 3 jobs yesterday. The first one requires continuous walking from my desk to the printer and copy machine. It also includes a trip across the very large building. For my next job, I had this huge deadline. Basically I had to pick up a document by 4:30 at the latest, copy it, and send all the copies via FedEx, which picks up at 4:45. Well I had been emailing the guy who was signing my document all day. No response. 4:30 rolls around, so I race over to his office. He’s not there. So I wander around his building looking for him. Finally get to him and get this damn document. Well shit, now it’s 5:06. FedEx has already picked up. So instead of simply dropping my package at the location right in front of me, I had to drive somewhere, get out of my car, and wander around an unfamiliar shopping center in search of the drop box. Found it. Crisis averted. I then backtracked my way back to my third job. Thankfully not too much walking, but at this point even having the shoe on was causing pain. I went into a meeting and more or less took off my shoes. Whatever – at this point I couldn’t care less about what’s socially acceptable. Thankfully given the topic of the meeting, I don’t think the other person noticed either.
As cute as these shoes are, they need to GO. I simply cannot bear to subject my feet to that again. My feet still feel scrunched from yesterday, and Marla is killing me in a way that I haven’t previously experienced. I’m 100% sure this is due to the shoes.
So yeah, if anyone wears a size 7 and is looking for an adorable black flat, let me know. I’ll try and post a pic next week.
