We all know how much I enjoy Stephen Colbert. I also really enjoy his “Cheating Death” segment, as it’s a sure source of comedy. Last night’s edition of this segment was probably one of the funniest bits of all time that I’ve seen from this man. Seriously genius. And so funny that he himself couldn’t keep from laughing. Enjoy!

We’ve already established that I’m totally obsessed with So You Think You Can Dance. This isn’t news. However, tonight I was very pleasantly surprised by the episode that popped up in my TiVo. Apparently Season 6 starts next week (hooray!) and as a segway into that, Nigel Lythgoe came on and hosted a show with his 15 favorite dances. Basically it was his top 5 per season.
There were some classics I had forgotten about:
*Courtney and Mark dancing to “The Garden”, choreographed by Sonya – it was so strange, but that’s why I LOVED it (watch)
*Neil and Sabra dancing to “Sweet Dreams”, as choreographed by Mandy Moore (watch)
As well as classics I hadn’t forgotten about:
*Kayla and Kipono dancing Mia Michels piece on addiction to “Gravity” (watch)
*Mark and Chelsea dancing to “Bleeding Love” as choreographed by Tabitha and Napoleon (watch)
But of course my favorite routine of this season was with Jeanine and Jason, dancing to Jason Mraz‘s “If It Kills Me”. OMG so beautiful. And passionate. And everything else. Definitely glad it made it into the top 15:

I’ve been cooped up on my couch for the better part of this week. When I haven’t been sleeping or been entertained by friends gracious enough to stop by (some with ice cream!!), I’ve been picking out new shows to watch on TV.
Some winners:
-Surf Patrol: Danger Down Under. First and foremost it’s a show about beaches. Add to that they’re in Australia, and you have the makings for an awesome TV show. Lifeguards go out and help people out of riptides, rescue drowning surfers, etc. And don’t forget that everyone on the show has that Aussie accent you can’t help but love 
-Family Feud. A classic that I have rediscovered. Fast money is the best part!!! It’s especially fun to watch people clam up and give the stupidest answers.
This video won’t be up long, but damn it’s AMAZING. first and foremost, Fox should let these things stay up, but whatever, we need to recognize the skills (and the amazing rippedness) that is Brandon on the current season of So You Think You Can Dance. I’ve loved this guy since he almost made the top 20 last season. And I might actually call into the show tonight. Wow. This is so uncharacteristic of me. But anyway, enough rambling. Enjoy the show!

Courtesy of Mario, I just had the privilege of watching Jon Stewart settle once and for all the debate of Barack Obama’s birth. There really are few things that make me as happy as when Jon Stewart comes on comedically points out other reporters’ stupidity. The man has a gift, and this segment is entertaining as hell.

Negativity ain’t helping Jo-Jessica!
I’ve decided to go on a quest. It will take a long time, but I plan to visit the restaurants of all of my favorite chefs from Top Chef. On the “to do” list so far:
You can’t start with any particular contestant without first mentioning Chef Tom Colicchio. He’s amazing and has every right to critique the chefs on the show. My life will not be complete until I eat at Craft. NY, LA, Dallas, Vegas, Connecticut…so many choices, clearly I have NO excuse to not go!
Ok on to the contestants I love:
I was definitely looking forward to last night’s SNL, simply because I really love Will Ferrell. As a season finale following the awesomeness that was Justin Timerblake hosting, I definitely had high hopes. I must admit I’m only a couple of sketches in, but I’m kind of disappointed so far. He definitely should get credit for the amazing GW performance, but the sketch itself wasn’t terribly funny. I’m gonna give it 2 more sketches before I just delete it. Jeopardy was histerical, so I need another fun sketch to make me laugh. Let’s see what happens!
Tonight is the season finale of the greatest show currently on television: The Office. Will Pam and Jim get married? I don’t think so. Will there be any surprise appearances? Who knows. I’m secretly hoping they bring Holly back. Michael deserves someone like that. Honestly, I can’t speculate any more than that. I don’t want to ruin it for myself.
