It’s my dream vacation, and I hope to actually book one of these trips some day. It’s a bit of a balancing act though: wait til I have enough money (these trips are usually $8,000+ per person!) but do it soon enough that the ice hasn’t melted. Anyway, the one itinerary that consistently wins for me is this one, on the Hurtigruten – MS Fram ship through the Cruise Norway line:

Day 1: Depart the US

Day 2: Arrive in Buenos Aires

Day 3: Buenos Aires/Ushuaia

Day 4: At sea

Day 5-6: Falkland Islands/Malvinas

Day 7-8: At Sea

Day 9-10: South Georgia

Day 11: At Sea

Day 12: South Orkneys

Day 13-16: Antarctica

Day 17-18: Drake Passage

Day 19: Ushuaia

Day 20: Buenos Aires

Basically I want this to be me: lim_penguinscl

In fact, I think I would shit a brick if I got to get that close to a bunch of penguins in real life!

Of course I would have to extend this trip to go sightseeing all around Buenos Aires and Chile. I mean, it’s not like I’m down in that region all that frequently! This vacation is seriously the vacation of a lifetime…does someone wanna book it for me?!
